Volunteer!
Studies have shown that parent involvement in their children's school has a direct effect on the child's academic performance. The PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a volunteer organization run to help support the school. Even if you work, there are many ways you can get involved. Look at the list below and if you have questions or can volunteer, please contact
Xu Wang, PTA Vice President. Your volunteering will make a difference!
– Grant Writing
– Hospitality
– Potluck / Picnic
– Classroom Directory data entry
– School Tours
– School Fairs
– Traffic Coordination
– Afterschool Enrichment
ADA Update
The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) upgrades at Jefferson are almost done! New bathrooms, new paint, new floors and a new elevator are just some of the improvements.
We are in the process of planning for the generous $125,000 grant we will receive to "green" the schoolyards. This will be a tremendous boost to our garden and gardening curriculum.
